Maincard Battles V.2.0: Significant Update of Prediction Reward System

Hello, dear Maincard players!

Today we are happy to announce an important update that is already available on the platform. We have introduced two changes to the game that will affect how many rewards you get for correct predictions.

What’s the reason?

Our team has long seen that there is a problem of players predicting mostly obvious events, the outcome is almost always known in advance and there is no intrigue. At the same time, predicting complex outcomes, the chance of which is small, brings players the same rewards, which is not fair. We believe we need to add more dynamics to this gameplay.

Moreover, because of the prediction of obvious outcomes, the minting of MCN tokens is constantly increasing. This is not good for the project’s economy and the players themselves, as it dilutes the value of the token.

Complexity of predictions

As you may recall, we already tested last month how this system works and have now fully implemented it.

Depending on how obvious the outcome of the prediction is, they are divided into 5 types with specific award multipliers:

  • Obvious — x0
  • Easy — x0.5
  • Medium — x1
  • Hard — x1.5
  • Insane — x3

The less chance an outcome has, the more rewards it will bring if it happens and vice versa. Predicting obvious outcomes still increases win strike.

We have updated the design of the platform and now the prediction multiplier is in the events section and the system immediately calculates the reward you will receive if you win.

We believe that this change will help players to show their knowledge to a greater extent and earn more rewards for really high quality predictions. Now your sports analytics skills will be valued more, giving you an advantage over other players.

Note that we plan to refine the prediction complexity system in the future based on the results of its use and user feedback.

Changing the number of rewards that cards bring

In addition, we’ve updated the game’s economy, and now your cards earn a different number of MCNs for correct predictions. What can really make our players happy is that now you can essentially earn even more MCN tokens than before. So, despite the reduced rewards for predicting obvious outcomes, it is still possible to get good rewards.

The base card rewards have been modified, and now cards with full lives bring rewards as follows (with a x1 multiplier):

  • Common — 10 MCN
  • Rare — 25 MCN
  • Epic — 75 MCN
  • Legendary — 250 MCN
  • Mythic — 1000 MCN

Accordingly, the rewards will now vary based on the number of card lives and the difficulty of the prediction.

We are confident that these changes will make the project’s economy more stable and the game more exciting. We believe that players who delve into the sport better, analyze and take risks deserve to receive more rewards than those who simply predict only the obvious events.
